We ask Martin about the social nature of gangs and gang members. He tells us why he thinks gangs are a very social and not necessarily anti-social phenomenon. Martin then discusses the network analysis method and why it may be useful for the study of crime. We then discuss a paper Martin wrote discussing the ways in which network analysis can aid in the study of organized crime.
